Apple Cinnamon Pastries



Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (thawed)
  • 2 medium apples (peeled, cored, and thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add apple slices, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Cook for 5–7 minutes until the apples soften slightly. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Cut the puff pastry sheets into rectangles or squares. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture in the center of each piece.
  4. Fold the pastry over the filling and press the edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Beat the egg and brush it over each pastry for a golden finish.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.

  1. Let them cool slightly before serving.

Serving Suggestion:

Serve warm with a drizzle of honey or a dusting of powdered sugar.
